The Shadowy Waters of the Quoile

Image 211 of 409

The Quoile River opening into Strangford Lough is steeped in legends of Saint Patrick who landed in the area. This picture is reminiscent of Fox Talbot's 1844 iconic picture of Loch Katrine, scene of the Lady of the Lake, with the horizon running across the centre, accentuating the mirror effect provided by the water's reflections.
