Majestic whooper swans from Iceland are one of the glories of the Lough in winter. They hold their necks upright, and look proud. A distinguishing feature is their black-and-yellow beak, with a straight line from forehead to tip. A flight of whoopers passing overhead is an unforgettable experience.
