Loughmoney Dolmen

Near Saul, Co.Down. The dolmen sits on a broad hill above a lake, and on a clear day offers vistas across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man and Cumbria, and westwards towards the Mournes. Built from Silurian shale with two long side stones supporting a longer capstone, it looks like a huge monster prowling over the ancient landscape.
