Also known as St Patrick’s Memorial Church, it was built in 1932 to commemorate the coming of St Patrick 1500 years earlier. Constructed to replicate an earlier church with a round tower, it is the location of Patrick’s first sermon and church which was a timber barn. It is considered to be the cradle of Christianity in Ireland.
