Nendrum

£100.00

The setting of this ancient monastic site is both dramatic and historic. It was founded in the 5th century by St Mochaoi, a young swineherd converted by Patrick and who gave his name to Mahee Island. In 976AD Nendrum was raided by Norsemen, but one should try to reconstruct the busy scene all around when the community was at the height of its power.
